Here is my ‘blast from the past’ for this week. Since everyone it still talking about Missy Elliott because of the Superbowl, I thought that this would be the best song to pick. One of my ultimate favourite Missy songs that came out in 1999.  Still remaining one of the most expensive videos ever, costing 2 million on production and when you watch it, you can see why.  Utterly mesmerising.

Love the song with a simple video. Kinda reminds me of a Guess/GAP advert. I only wish we could of heard some vocals from Paul McCartney. What do you think?

Now even though I do really like this song I does sound a lot like ‘Loyal’ but slightly different. I’m started to feel like a lot of hip hop songs are starting to sound the same and that isn’t just because of DJ Mustard (no shade).

I really like this one by Mila and also the video gives me an Aaliyah vibe. Have a listen.

Here is someone new on my radar. I’m loving this song and I had a listen through her other songs and she is definitely  someone who we are going to hearing a lot more from. Is she the new Lady Gaga? Have a listen and see what you think.

It’s never been a problem for Maroon 5 to produce a hit but it seems like they have done it again with their new song ‘Sugar’. For me personally I like the video better than the song but what do you think?

Ariana Grande – Santa Tell Me

Now I’m not going to lie, when I saw that Ariana Grande had a new Christmas song out I rolled my eyes and said ‘Not another one!’ also referring to her as a Mariah Carey wannabe and was very reluctant to listen to it. But I must say I will have to eat some humble pie because I actually like the song. It’s a pretty catchy song with a nice beat so I’ll post this and say Merry Christmas.
